MASSIVE AUGUST UPDATE

I am so far behind on my blogging, I am going to try and do most of August into one post. I will TRY to condense it or this post will be huge. It has a little bit of some September things in it that I decided to not do as individual posts. Here goes....

On August 16, my dear father turned 60! I love my dad so much. He is constantly making me laugh and he is so fun to go to sporting events with because he is so entertaining to listen to and watch. My dad is very dear to my heart. Happy Birthday, you old man!

Oh gosh, how do I even begin to try and explain this one? Amy and I were sitting on the couch talking about how we loved doing weird things with our husbands. Suddenly, a light bulb came on and we decided to ask Josh if we could put tiny hair elastics all through his hair. At first, the answer was NO! Then after saying if Micheal were here, we'd do it to him too.... and I promised sex. Oh, the things a man will do for sex. Then I had to promise more stuff like that to get the picture taken. Oh, once again... he conceded. I held up to my end of the bargain on both accounts. I'm good for my word.

This is my friend Jer. He is hilarious and I just love him to pieces. He did a lot to help us with getting Amy into her house. I worked with him when I used to work for Kartchner Homes and he still works there and did a lot for us. He always quotes Anchor Man's, "I'm kind of a big deal" so I got him one to say thanks for all he did for us. As for the sombrero, it was really hot that day and he thought it jazzed up his outfit a tad.

After Amy closed on her house, we spent a few nights at my mom's house. Did I mention that my parents' house does NOT have AC. It was hot. Notice Kennet's foot over Kai's chest? Amy's kids will sleep in the weirdest positions. As for my mom and Halle, I'm sure I'll be disowned for putting this picture on here but I loved it and Halle is actually being nice. Document. Document. Document.

One day while Amy was staying at my house, the kids were all camped out in the front room, reading magazines.

These are those cool BUCKEY BALLS. I decided to have a little fun with them and take some neat pictures.

We made homemade ice cream with this cool soccer ice cream ball Marie gave Josh. We kicked it around and played with it on the tramp. The girls loved it.

These faces she's pulling just get funnier and funnier...

Told you! That girl can pull the most hilarious faces. Oh and she's all pro at scowling. She's mastered that, you'd think she'd move on.

I asked Amy to bring down this cool bike. Micheal and Amy used to bike the boys around on these all the time. I thought it would be fun to take Chloee to and from school when Amy had Halle for a week (that happened twice). She brought them and Chloee loved the attention it brought when I dropped her off and picked her up from school. All the kids would swarm around it. Nice that it got my fat butt working out. Always a plus.

Who would have thought that this picture would turn into this...

I had a big bag of Double Bubble gum and I asked Amy if she wanted to have a contest to see who could fit the most in their mouth. I sucked and only got 5 in my mouth before the Pepto-Bismol taste of sugar took over and I just couldn't chew any more. Amy SLAUGHTERED me with 25. Holy... I swear she had to unhinge her jaw to get more in. It was unbelievable. I have about 25 pictures of it but thought I'd just share these few. :)

This is our OVERgrown tomato plant. This is right before Josh chopped it down to a normal size. I swear that thing grew further over the patio every day.

Halle, Chloee and Eli. Eli is the girls' new found best friend. We do a lot with him, mainly because he is so cute and a little part because we are always with his parents hanging out.

We went to The Brazilian Festival down at The Gateway. Josh went to Brazil on his mission and as soon as he heard of this annual festival, he has been going every year. It was fun. We ate some super good food and the girls enjoyed it.

We have been BUSY!!!

Chloee's First Week of Kindergarten

Chloee's first week of kindergarten was fun. I'm being sarcastic. Halle cried and cried and cried when she left. She cried that entire first week for the 3 hours she was gone. It was interesting. I decided to take a picture of her every day for the first week. The above picture in the purple was on Monday.

And these are her two new pairs of shoes. They cannot wear flip flops to school so I had to go buy some more closed toe shoes.

She loves kindergarten. Halle has adjusted, thank heavens.

Chloee's First Soccer Game

Josh is coaching Chloee's soccer team this year. It has been lots of fun and I am so behind on blogging, it just isn't even funny.

Needless to say, I took a lot of pictures. Josh does a fantastic job at coaching and Chloee loves having him be her coach. It's always funny, you can tell who the coach's kid is, because they are always so much harder on them. We mom's laugh about it. We can always pick out the other team's coach's kid too.

It's been a fun season and hopefully I can get more pictures of more recent games on here soon.

Potties

We are going through potty training with Halle. Potty training = HELL! It has been interesting, to say the least. The other day I came into the bathroom to find this. I guess they take after their father and have to have reading material.

One day, Halle was sitting on the toilet and Chloee was in the bath tub. I was explaining to Halle that everyone goes potty and she needs to start doing it too. Then out of nowhere, Chloee said,
"Halle, everyone has a potty, even Australia has potties".

WHAT???

Craft Night

Some ladies in my ward do a "craft night". They do it once a month. Last month I made this cute birthday countdown. All of the blocks have different numbers and cute paper on them. I love it. Plus, who doesn't love getting out of the house once in a while?

One of the ladies who put on the craft night asked me if I wanted this cute block sign. She had some left over from girl's camp and was trying to get rid of them. She gave it to me and Chloee instantly fell in love with it and now it resides in her room.
