Madd Mom at Movies

At the end of the school year I purchased a summer movie pass from the school. It was $12 a pass and every week they play a different movie during the day at the local theater. My friend and I got them so that we could take our kids together. They are all movies that have already been out on DVD for a while but it's fun for the kids.

I made the big mistake of taking Halle. I was out within 10 minutes and she didn't want to do anything but scream and be held for the next 80 minutes as I waited for the movie to get out. It was awful. I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER do that again.

Chloee went the next week with my friend and her kids while I stayed home with Halle. My child wants to be into everything and destroying whatever she can. She wants to be adventurous not just sitting on some stupid chair watching a movie. Some kids at very young ages are enticed by the TV and love watching movies. My child wants to spend every waking moment outside, not contained in some movie theater.

Chloee getting ready to go to the movies with my friend. She packs her treat bag and has to wear her sunglasses to be cool! When did she grow up?

My Driver's License Mug Shot

On my birthday, I had to get my license renewed. I swear, no one's driver's license picture EVER looks good. Well, after I stood in line for forever, I finally got up to the counter. The girl who was helping me said, "Wow, this is a really good picture of you. Either you're really photogenic or you're just having a good day. It's weird, it's really a good picture, especially for being a driver's license picture." At this point, I'm thinking, "I must look pretty darn good in this picture." I can't see it, she's looking at it on her computer. She prints me out my temporary, gives it to me, I settle in the car and can't wait to see this picture.

Yep, here it is. Are you kidding me?
I came home and said to Amy, "It looks like a freaking mug shot for a woman's prison." (There was more said that I am choosing NOT to put in this post.) This picture doesn't even do this thing justice. I thought Amy was going to wet her pants.

Luckily for me, when the original came, it didn't look half as bad. I still don't know what that worker was smoking. If my picture looked "that good" I don't want to see what all the other pictures look like. Scary!

She's Got A Shoe Fetish

Halle has a total shoe fetish. I think that is mainly because she associates shoes with outside and seeing as how that is ALL she EVER thinks about, shoes never really leave her mind either. She has these cute little flip flops from Old Navy that she wears all day. They are the ones in the big picture at the top of my blog.

I decided that she needs more than just one pair of shoes so I went to Payless yesterday. They are doing their BOGO 1/2 off.

She was like a crazy animal in the store. If she were a dog, she would have been foaming at the mouth. She handed me every single shoe and said, "Shuuuu" and then proceeded to sit on my lap and wanted me to put them all on for her. It was like the girl was in her own personal heaven.

I found these adorable pink Champion ones. They are so cute on her. I always have to buy the ones that are wide, that girl's feet are massive!

I also got her some cute church shoes. The only thing she has is a pair of dirty old grungy ones that were Chloee's. I love how you can see the lace on the top.

I got them both for a killer deal. The pink ones were originally $12.99 and I told the saleswoman that I had seen the exact same ones online for $9 and asked her if I could get them for the same price. I guess they will honor it if you bring in a printout of the shoe on the website and the price. I didn't have that but she honored it anyway. Then the dress shoes were normally $14.99 but on sale for $7 and with the BOGO, I got them for $3.50. My entire purchase at full price would have been $28 but it came to $12.50, YEA!

Halle wore the pink ones out of the store. I basically had to pry them off of her just to pay for them. That girl and her shoes!

Reverent Halle

We say a prayer at every meal. Halle has FINALLY caught on to folding her arms. I swear I've been working on that one with her for a while. Well, it paid off just a few days ago when we were saying the prayer and I peeked (I know, I know) and she had folded her arms. I almost burst, I was so excited.

She does it all the time. We were outside today and I told Chloee she needed to stop screaming and be quiet and Halle folded her arms.

Yeah, I don't really know what this face is all about but I love it and thought I'd share.

OLD NAVY KNOWS...

Last Saturday, my friend, Cindy and I woke up at 6 to go out and stand in line in front of Old Navy for their $2 tank top sale. The weather was bad so there weren't as many people as last year.

When I got home, I noticed there was something in the bottom of my bag that was kind of hard. This is what was in there, and yes, I DO hang it on my bedroom door!

Graham Crackers & Milk, Does A Body Good

Halle's first experience with graham crackers and dippin' them in milk. Evidently, it's a Josh favorite. I came home on Saturday and she was just loving every minute of it.

"Dip and attempt to knock the cup over."

"In the mouth, SWEET VICTORY!"

That face is a, "Yum, I love these" and a
"Why you been holding out on me, MOM?"
