Grandma turns 80!!!

Here is Grandma Jones (Josh's mom's mom) when she was taken by complete surprise finding all of her family at Chuck-A-Rama with a surprise birthday party. All of grandma's children put it together and a lot of hard work went into it, it was fun to see her face!!!

The fam at Chuck-Rama. Not so much fun for us... I went in the bathroom because I thought I was going to puke (from the food, I'm not pregnant) and there were a total of 3 stalls, 2 of which were already being used to throw up in. Does that tell you anything?

A 4 generation photo. Left to Right: Chloee, Kathy (Josh's mom), obviously Josh and Grandma, the birthday girl. In the afternoon they did an open house for grandma at Kathy's church, they had a great turn out and the food was delicious. Kathy made an amazing DVD for grandma of her life up until now. It was really neat and it turned out great!

Here we are with grandma at the reception. We lost Chloee probably 3 or 4 times. One of us always thought the other one had her. She wanted to play hide and go seek with the big kids, only problem was, we couldn't ever find her! (not funny, I almost started to cry)

Here's tootsie with Brielle. She is only 2 days older than Chloee, I guess they are second cousins. It is Josh's cousin Jenna's baby. She is so cute! At the open house we had to keep pulling Chloee off of the other kids she was beating up on (which by the way were ALL older than her). She managed to disappear multiple times, leave war wounds on other children, spill a drink on Stacie and I don't want to think about what I DIDN'T SEE!!!

Whose Child Is This Anyway?

The Chlo is quite, well I guess strange would be the word. Today she grabbed the sink plug (is that even what it is called) out from under the sink. She likes to walk around with things in her mouth and growl. It looks like a muzzle on her, don't you think?

She will no longer eat in her high chair so it calls for "Big Girl" measures. She sits at the BIG table in the BIG chair and gets to eat her BIG food. Well, evidently today why bother with the hands when she can cut out step 2 of taking the food from the table to her mouth. Skip the middle man and just eat it right off the table.

A better view of her eating her food as fast as possible. Come on Chloee, it's not like I time you when you're eating or anything!!! ;)

My favorite today. She unloaded the utensil drawer (which she can reach when she moves the chair over to it) while I was cooking dinner. In the midst of me burning the chicken amongst other things she managed to pull out the tongs. She actually put these around her own neck. It was so funny, I just couldn't not take a picture of it. I laughed so hard while she ran around showing off her beautiful new piece of jewelry.

Oh, yes and to answer the title above, HER DADDY'S THROUGH AND THROUGH!!

Big Helper...

Chloee showing off her new jammies with her daddy. She loves how soft and furry they are. She rubs her tummy and says, "Ohhhhhhh". It is really cute!

Wave yo' hands in the air like you just don't care!

She is such a good helper, she helps me unload the dishwasher. Yes, those are butter knives in both of her hands!

She was unloading the silverware and couldn't reach the ones on the far end. The normal thing to do would be to walk around to the other side and grab them.... not toots, she jumps on top of the dishwasher to reach them. Nothing this girl does, is done the easy way!

Chloee and mommy made muffins this morning. She had put her whisk in to help me and flung it out with batter in my hair, her hair and all over the place. This was taken shortly after I had taken the bowl away from her, she was not happy... as you can see in the picture!

Labor Day Weekend... Continued

Wellsville has a parade on Labor Day, we went to it and got to see a whole new side to the Chlo! (kinda scary realizing your daughter has NO FEAR!) Ok, we already knew that but it was solidified at the parade.

She didn't want to sit on the curb or in one of her parents laps, she wanted to sit IN THE GUTTER. The picture below illustrates so well what she wanted. This picture was after Josh pulled her OUT of the gutter (OH SHE'S MAD AT HIM!)

After she plopped herself back down in the gutter and pulled a "I'm sittn' here and don't try and move me" face.

"Which one of you touched my candy?" Can you see how irate she is? She is a little candy monger!

She refused to put any of the candy down (in case someone decided to steal it from her). As you can see here, she is trying to pick up NEW candy while holding everything else in her hands that she has already picked up. It was so funny to watch.

At the end of the day, the toots was so ornery, tired and probably dehydrated that we took her home, hoping that some of the orneriness would wear off. (No such luck in that department.)

Amy and I ran into our friend Jenny from the cross country days. Jenny is now a Burbank and has a son, Seth, who is 4. It was fun to see each other and get a quick pic. Ok, so not so quick, poor Jenny's mom couldn't figure out how to work the camera, it was funny!

The girls chillin' on Sunday afternoon. We look like a lively bunch, don't we? Annie is excused from this picture, seeing as how she lives in California! Love you Annie, even though you aren't here!

Labor Day Weekend

On Saturday we went out to mom and dad's for dinner and then went fishing down at Hryum Dam. Here's daddy and the toots just being cute!

Why on earth would dad use his scissors to cut the line when he can use his teeth. It looks like he is giving the fish a nice wet one.

Can I say, "Daughter like Father". Amy caught her little fish and gave it a kiss too, not near as intimate as dads. I guess it's tradition, you catch a fish and dad pesters relentlessly until you kiss it and toss it back in. Dad's so cute with the grandkids, he tried to get Kai to kiss one of the fishies, but he's smarter than his momma.

It was starting to get dark. Chloee sat there most of the time. She just picked up the rocks and threw them down. She had a huge one she sent tumbling down the hill. That girl and rocks, I don't know what her fascination is. Grandma and Josh are getting eaten alive by the mosquitoes.

Our little fam. I am actually surprised that Chloee is looking at the camera. Normally, Amy has to do some sort of Indian ritual dance behind the camera to get her to look and smile. Sometimes it doesn't work and the rest of us are laughing hysterically at her but not Chloee.

A Little R&R for the Moms

On Thursday, us moms, Amy, Jenni and myself, decided that we need a little rest and relaxation and went to Lundstrum Park for the afternoon. Ok, so not so much r&r going on seeing as how our kids couldn't stop pummeling each other into the ground.... mainly my child, SHOCKER!!! (Dylon is not pictured here, he was too busy asking his mom relentlessly if he could play at the park across the street, so funny)

The toots, cheesing it up, as usual.

Normally I hate pics of myself, but I actually really liked this one. Chloee's smile is soooo her daddy's with the way she crinkles up her nose, I love it!

The dynamic duo, or whatever you want to call them. These two are the best of friends. Kennet and Chloee have all too much of the same personality and so they tend to not get along like Chloee and Kai. Kai is her little protector. The other day I was at Amy's and Kennet took a light saber from Chloee and Kai went over and took it from Kennet and said, "No, Kennet, you give to Chloee" and he took it out of his hands and gave it back to her. He is soooooo cute with her. Ok, that makes my daughter sound like an angel, earlier that day she grabbed Kennet's face with her claws and made him cry for no reason at all!

How, you wonder? How can a 1 year old walk around in heels (probably better than the actual owner of the shoes, ME)? She loves to be a girl, and she's a girlie one at that. She pulls out my heels and sticks her feet in them and walks around, yes that's right, she doesn't even fall over. It is adorable. She has good practice, she walks around on her toes all the time, you should see the calf muscles on this girl. Oh, the joys of having a teenager that's 1!!!
