HALLOWEEN

About a week before Halloween, Josh was working late so I went with a friend to her Trunk or Treat. I wasn't done with Chloee's costume so I had them dress up as something else that night.

Of course I have 2 Cinderella costumes. Why not go as twins?

While they were there, they got some cute face painting. Notice Halle's shifty eyes in this one?

Chloee looks much sweeter than Halle. I love the bat.

On Halloween, it's tradition that the girls paint pumpkins. They LOVE wearing my shirts when they paint. The simple pleasures of young children.
At least this year, Halle didn't end up with paint up and down her arms.

The girls showing of their pumpkins on the porch. I don't really know what Chloee is doing in this picture.

Halle was a pirate. I love this costume, so fitting for her. Notice her "Arghhh" face?

And I actually got a smile out of her too. Wahoo!

Chloee was Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family. Josh talked her into this one. We were going to get a hand to be "thing" to sit on her shoulder but we ran out of time.

Yep, Princess Leia with a beard. Gorgeous.

I'm a jail bird. This is my "don't mess with me" face.

The girls were all pictured out at this point.

I made this sweet trick-or-treating bag with my friend Emma. Needless to say, it was a lot harder than it looked but it turned out soooooo cute.

Here is the back. I love it but I don't think I'll ever make another one.

Josh's work did a costume contest and whoever dressed up, got to go out to eat for breakfast on the company. I'm pretty sure that not a lot of work got done that day. :)

We had fun on Halloween. We went over to our friends' house, ate yummy treats, went trick or treating together and had a load of laughs.

Yes, the day after Halloween, Josh was already playing Christmas music. He reminds me so much of my dad. It puts a smile on my face.

Breakfast With The Witches

A new tradition is in order. Josh's mom invited me and the girls down to go to "The Breakfast with The Witches" at Gardner Village. We all dressed up like witches for the grand breakfast.

The witches would come around to the different tables while you're eating your breakfast and autograph your paper with their picture on it. This one was my favorite. She played the fiddle for us.

Grandma and Chloee.

Mother Goose Witch.

We went with Josh's sister, Stacie and her kids. I love Rhyder's Harry Potter glasses.

The kiddos in costume.

That is a spider on the netting of my hat. I borrowed this awesome costume from a friend.

After the breakfast, we went out in the village to see all of the witches.
Student Driver

This one reminded me of The Wizard of Oz.

Chloee was in love with this one hula-hooping.

She even kissed the frog.

Halle wasn't quite sure about that huge spider.

This one is on her "eye" phone.

Considering that we love the movie, THE BURBS, I had to get a picture of this.

Kathy made the girls these little witch hat cookies. Halle ate probably 8 all by herself. We had so much fun, plus it was a great way to help pass the time while Josh was out hunting for 3 days. We stayed and hung out with Grandma til night and then headed home so that Chloee could go to school on Friday.

I think next year, I'll try and get Josh there too. The girls wanted him to see all of the witches. Did I mention that they both LOVE witches? This was like a dream come true for them.

Fun with The Olsen Family

We hit the pumpkin walk while we were up in Logan over UEA. We went with Amy and the boys and Paul and Alisa's family. I have always loved the pumpkin walk. It has always been a tradition for our family to go when I was younger. We always went for FHE.

There were so many and Halle went wild when she saw "Agnus" on Despicable ME.

Kennet

Kai

Halle

I look good as a blond. No?

Harry Potter is all grown up.

Chloee, Carter and Kai.

Beautiful Ariel...

Creepy Ariel.

Love the brown roots, Cinderella.

I don't know why I didn't get a picture of the Olsens.

After the pumpkin walk, we all went back to Paul and Alisa's house and made pizzas, ate dinner, played games and had a grand time. I'm not going to lie, there was A LOT of laughing that went on. My stomach ached when we left.
The kids LOVED doing the doughnuts on a string.

Chloee won!

Paul is a total cheat and pushed Josh over as soon as we said go. It was fun to watch them.

There was a lot of trash talk going on between these two but Josh ended up winning.

Paul was certain that Alisa was going to win this one. He is quite the trash talker. He had me laughing pretty hard.
Evidently, I never should have been in the middle because I "flail like a fish" according to Alisa. Yeah, I was kind of all over the place. The guys were moving the rod up and down so that we couldn't reach the doughnuts. I started to not feel good...

Yeah, that's me running out to puke on their front porch. Too much doughnut in my mouth. So nice of Kai to get a shot of this. I had written on Alisa's blog that I won and I think I did but Paul told me that I'm basically going to hell for saying that because clearly Amy won because she didn't puke. Go figure.

We played Balderdash for hours and laughed. I know I've written that a lot, that we laughed, but we did and it was a night to remember. I'm sure we'll be quoting things from that game for years to come. We didn't leave until about 11:00 pm. Even then, it didn't seem like we had just spent the last 7 hours together.

It is always so fun to hang out with a couple where everyone gets along and makes you laugh and you can tease and elbow each other. I love that Josh had just as much fun as I did. He's the one who didn't really know anyone. The rest of us all went to school together. The Olsens immediately made Josh feel comfortable, which made me happy. Also, Amy is a threat to Alisa, considering that Paul's mom still has a picture of Amy and Paul at a dance in her office. :)
Good times.
