I'm Addicted....
Yes, I am addicted to garage sales. I went last weekend with my friend, Melissa. We went out at about 6 AM and had scouted out the different places we were going to go. It was so fun and I got TONS of awesome stuff. We took her van, laid down the seats and the van still looked like this:
Yes, I am actually going to write what I got and their accompanying awesome price. Melissa is a wheeling dealing machine. She was haggling with everyone about prices. I didn't pay much of what anyone was asking because she was talking everyone down.

The only things that haven't worked out for me have been the kids cotton candy machine, doesn't really work and the lamps for my room. They look cute but they were way too tall for my nightstands and bedroom set, they looked weird. Only out $3. Pretty good if I do say so myself.

18 Months = Ready For Nursery
She finally turned 18 months. Josh and I can now attend all 3 meetings of church again. Something we have not done in 18 months. She loves it. She walks right in and doesn't look back and you basically have to drag her out of there when it's time to go. I love the nursery leader. She let me bring Halle in before she was 18 months as long as I stayed in there too. It sure beat walking the halls trying to keep her quiet because she wanted to be beating on all the doors.... or doing some other destructive behavior.Posted by Kimberlee at 11:16 AM 1 comments

End of Summer Bash
Amy and I decided to have an "End of Summer Bash" before the kids went back to school. I think it totaled about 5 days. It was the week before school started and we had a blast.
The Crusin' Klunker
The Primary Activity
Saturday Night
Amy and I used to play the Nintendo all the time when we were kids. Our favorite, of course, is Bubble Bobble. We are able to download the old games for $5 onto our Wii. A few months ago, we downloaded Super Mario Bros 3. We LOVED that one when we were kids. Needless to say, Amy and I played it for 7 hours on Saturday. Hey, before you judge... 3 hours was in the afternoon and the other 4 was later that night after the kids had gone to bed. Well, really after Halle, the most demanding one, went to bed. It brought back many great memories. We went to Costco and then went out to dinner at TGI Friday's. I've never ate there before but it was so good. Amy and I couldn't decide between 2 entrees, so we both got one and split them. Yum!
Dad's Birthday
Ok, so there is a softer side.
One thing is for sure, we know how to have fun!We did the old western pictures in Pioneer Village first thing, right when we got there. We had 4 people, Amy, myself, Halle and Chloee in a "changing room" that could not have been more than 3 feet by 3 feet. Halle did surprisingly well, I was amazed. She sat on her stool, didn't cry, didn't try and take any of the accessories off. Granted, they did give her some fake money to hold and she did love that!
We promised the kids that if they were good then they could get an ICEE. We definitely had to pay up because they were all amazing during the pictures even though we drug them past all the rides to get to Pioneer Village.
On Tuesday we sat around and watched movies while we did laundry. We watched Leap Year, that adorable movie with Matthew Goode in it. We wanted to watch another movie with him in it. Amy got one from Netflix, "Chasing Liberty" with stupid Mandy Moore. We watched it and laughed so hard at her HORRIBLE acting. I mean it was bad but we couldn't stop watching it because it was so fun to make fun of and of course, we got to see glimpses of Matthew Goode. "McGruff, I trusted you!" (hand over heart, portraying the deep hurt that was caused). That was for you Amy, I know you're laughing.
Amy went home that night. She had some prior engagements she had to attend to the next day. I was so sad that it was over. How could it have already been over? All in all, we had so much fun and can't wait to do it again next year.
