We Got Ours

Today we went and got our Christmas tree! We went to this "tree farm" although they aren't groomed like tree farms, they have character. Every year we get a real tree but never want those ones that are just "perfect" and cost like $75. This place was called, Neville Farms and we got to go look for the tree we wanted and then cut it down. How cool is that? We had a lot of fun!

Here we are with Chlo and "the tree" we picked out!

Josh and Chloee hard at work. No, we did not let Chloee use the saw, that's just the blade cover.

After we cut it down we found out that the back side of that sucker was BALD! All the more character and we figured it would fit in the corner better that way.

Let's take her home! It was a fun experience and they had hot chocolate and candy there too for people. We found our new annual Christmas tree place.

We had to move the couches around and the entertainment center, well, pretty much everything. That this is HUGE, even with the bald spot in the back! Tomorrow we are going to decorate it, I can't think of a better Sunday afternoon activity.

I just left a comment, but it's not showing so sorry if it shows up twice. Looks like a lot of fun picking out your tree. I love the smell of a fresh cut pine tree, but we never get one cause Josh is allergic. Hope you are feeling well with your baby :)

I just don't see the problem with letting Chloee use to the saw. You are STRICT!

That is so cool that you guys go and pick out your tree like the good old days! :) We always get the plastic trees because Jon would feel bad throwing the tree away after Christmas was over. But getting your own tree looks like so much fun. :)

I bet Chloee's pretty handy with a saw. You should have seen her with the pizza cutter last night... uh... never mind that last bit. :)

Did your tree get tossed out of the Olypmics for steroid use? That thing is massive! I bet Micheal and I could do that next year in Alaska. Except we could just mosey over to the next door neighbors yard and cut one of their's down. They'd never notice.

Are you going to post an after pic? I want to see this twinkly mammoth!
